TROY, MI, June 25, 2026 -- Ezee Fiber has opened a new regional operations facility in Troy, Michigan, establishing a dedicated hub for its growing broadband network in the state as the company accelerates investment in high-speed fiber infrastructure and local workforce development.
The 30,000-square-foot facility includes office space, a warehouse and an outdoor storage yard and will serve exclusively as the operational center for Ezee Fiber’s Michigan business. The company said the site will support network construction, customer installations, maintenance operations and community engagement efforts as it expands fiber internet access across the state.
The announcement was made during Ezee Fiber’s Michigan VIP Day, an event that brought together elected officials, community leaders and local media to provide a detailed look at the company’s construction practices, permitting processes, customer service approach and community outreach initiatives.
“Opening our Troy facility is a defining moment for Ezee Fiber in Michigan,” said Greg Thomas, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Ezee Fiber’s Midwest Region. “This space exists for one purpose, and that is to serve Michigan communities and the customers who trust us to connect them. We are excited to grow our team and grow alongside these communities.”
The new hub is part of a broader multi-year investment strategy aimed at expanding fiber broadband access to tens of thousands of homes and businesses across Michigan. The company said the facility will improve installation capacity, response times, network support and customer service as construction efforts continue throughout the region.
To support that growth, Ezee Fiber expects to create approximately 50 jobs in Michigan during 2026 and 2027, with additional hiring anticipated as network expansion progresses. Planned positions include field technicians, sales representatives, warehouse and fleet service personnel, administrative staff, community relations specialists and construction-related roles supporting underground fiber deployment projects.
The hiring plans reflect ongoing investment across the fiber broadband sector, where providers are racing to expand infrastructure to meet growing consumer and business demand for faster internet speeds and greater network reliability. Fiber operators continue to compete for market share by offering multi-gigabit services that exceed the capabilities of many traditional cable and telecommunications networks.
Michigan residents served by Ezee Fiber will have access to residential internet plans starting at 2 gigabits per second, with service options reaching speeds of up to 8 gigabits per second. The company is positioning those offerings as part of a broader effort to deliver high-capacity connectivity to households, businesses and public-sector organizations.
Alongside its infrastructure investments, Ezee Fiber is emphasizing community engagement as a core component of its market expansion strategy. During its inaugural Michigan VIP Day, company leaders outlined processes related to resident notifications, construction methods, permitting compliance, property restoration, sales practices and installation management.
Thomas said the event reflects the company’s commitment to transparency and accountability as it enters new communities.
“We believe the communities that welcome us deserve to understand exactly how we work,” he said. “VIP Day is our opportunity to sit across the table from local leaders and answer every question they have, openly and honestly. That level of accountability is central to who we are as a company.”
The expansion into Michigan is part of Ezee Fiber’s broader growth strategy across multiple U.S. markets. The company currently operates fiber-optic infrastructure in Texas, New Mexico, Illinois, Oregon, Michigan and Washington, serving residential, business and government customers through a fully fiber-based network.
As demand for bandwidth-intensive applications, remote work capabilities and digital services continues to increase, fiber providers are investing heavily in regional infrastructure and local operations. For Ezee Fiber, the Troy facility represents a significant step in building the operational foundation needed to support long-term growth in Michigan while strengthening its position in the increasingly competitive broadband market.
